Greetings! My name is Coby Sevdy. I have been a huge fan of Sonic the Hedgehog since 1993 when I received a SEGA Game Gear with Sonic 2 for my birthday. I've played most of the games, and the Game Gear title "Sonic Chaos" was the very first video game I ever beat.

How did you learn about the comics? In June 1994, I learned there was a Sonic comic when I saw Archie Comic's Sonic the Hedgehog #14 sitting on a magazine rack. I've been diligently collecting the comics ever since. I own every single Sonic comic released by Archie Comics, and so far I have a complete inventory of Sonic comics from IDW. Unfortunately, I haven't collected any Sonic the Comic magazines from Fleetway. Maybe one day...

What do you do? I am a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a Cyber Systems Operator. Basically, I'm an IT guy, fixing computers while serving my country. I am not a web designer, so I apologize for the simplicity of this website. It's all coded by hand in basic HTML. Maybe one day I'll take a course in web design and improve this site. I would like to create a mobile version one day, as the current site doesn't work well on mobile devices.

Why did you create this website? Because I'm a completionist who wanted a quick-reference visual guide to my entire collection, in chronological order. While I was designing it, I figured, why not share it with the world? There are other fans of the comics out there and it's always a pain trying to find a proper reading order for any comic series. So I turned my personal website into a public host for my inventory.

Will you ever host actual comics? I have a complete collection of digital comics for all three Sonic series. However, I don't want to get my website banned or shut down for filesharing, so I will not be hosting any comics at this time. There are other places you can go to find digital comics online, and I highly recommend supporting IDW and buying their physical and digital comics.

Why does it take so long to update things? I am only one man, working on this site as a hobby (read: whenever I get the free time) so I apologize for anything I haven't finished updating. Hand-jamming code for all these images is a lot of hard work! Fortunately, IDW is pretty good about posting comic news on their Facebook page, so I'm usually able to get updates posted within a day or two of their announcement.

Are you ever going to finish the Fleetway archive? I'm getting to it! There are over 300 Fleetway comics for me to add and it takes time to code each one, even if I'm just copy/pasting most of the code from previous images. Also, I have my own domain now so I'm trying to move images over here instead of hosting them off-site. Which means re-linking every single image in the archives (which is 90% of this website).

Do you take breaks from updating your site? I normally try to keep things as current as possible, but as I mentioned earlier, I am serving in the US military. Occasionally, I might find myself sent to the other side of the world for some time, and access to my website might be limited for a while. I took a year hiatus while stationed in South Korea once, and as soon as I finally caught up with the Archie comics, Archie cancelled their series. I'll try not to let something like that happen again.

Anything else you'd like to know, you can message me through Reddit. Thanks for your interest in my site!
